Rafael Nadal is injured

Tennis sensation and possible injury to Nadal

Rafael Nadal, the Spanish tennis player who has won the Masters 10 times, is a true legend of the sport. But he did not reach the quarter-finals at the end of the current tournament and could not hide his pain during the game.

Not so long ago there was another sensation in Rome, when the reigning champion – Spaniard Nadal could not defeat his opponent in the third round. And he left the field limping. And it is important to remember that there is not much time left before Roland Garros begins.

A year ago, the final between the Spaniard and Novak Djokovic was the highlight of the tournament. And then Rafael managed to win the trophy for the 10th time. And now, after the draw, many tennis fans and experts are looking forward to the semifinals between these champions. But that moment has yet to come. Of course, in the case of Djokovic everything is already clear, he won and is waiting for his opponent at the moment. But the Spaniard couldn’t get what he wanted, so what happened?

The Spaniard got off to a late start on the primer, as he was dealing with an injury.  And that’s why he missed a few important tournaments, and came back in ¼ loss to young Carlos Alcaraz.

Rafael Nadal injured at Rome tournament

Although the beginning was quite confident and lively and Rafael set his own rhythm to his opponent by using sharp strokes. But during the second game some problems began. At the press conference the tennis player himself said that he suddenly felt a sharp pain in his leg, which has been a problem for many years now. And with time the opponent began to seize the initiative and began to equalize. And in the third set one could not feel any resistance at all, as Rafael was no longer able to reach uncomplicated balls, had a limp and was not showing his best game. This led to his defeat.

Of course, the Spaniard left the field very upset, and after the game he gave an interview, where he said that it was not an injury, painful sensations accompany all the time. And such a day and all that is happening, you just need to accept it and begin to develop further, although it is not easy to do so. The game brings happiness and positive emotions, the competitive spirit is also important. But in many ways, it is quite difficult to feel pain on a regular basis. I hope it works out in the future and Roland Garros is still a goal. But it’s not clear what will happen in a few days, you need to consult a doctor.

The defeat in the third round is the earliest time since 2008. Then the defeat was in the 2nd round, but after that Nadal consistently reached the quarterfinals.
